Beast without Beauty


Disfigured, ugly, twisted,
Cursed by shadow.
Pained, burdened, tortured,
Physical reflects spiritual.

Love, joy, kindness,
Locked away in darkness.
Regret, hatred, sorrow,
Dominates the heart.

Searching, wishing, longing,
For that which is absent.
Friend, lover, companion,
One that holds the key.
